Inside The Villa
Upon arrival you will find a welcome basket with a selection of comestibles that allow you to cook a first meal at the Villa. Never a meal without a glass of wine! We happily offer you a few bottles of wine to start your holiday on a high note.
Just down the internal staircase you will finde the wine fridge which is stocked with a variety of white and red wines and of course Prosecco from the Valdobbiadene available for purchase.
The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook a great meal. Dishes, glasses and cutlery for up to 10 guests as well as stylish synthetic tableware for outside eating or drinks by the pool.
If either the weather is bad or you are a passionate card player or crapshooter, we have got you covered. Chess, backgammon or scrabble boards as well as kids’ games can be found in the side board of the winter garden.
Bath towels in various sizes as well as pool towels and a bath robe are ready in your room upon arrival. Sufficient towels for an entire week are provided – for a longer stay the towels will be replaced on Saturday.
In each bathroom you will find hand soap, a hair dryer as well as sanitary bags and toilet paper.
Should you need to do some laundry, you are welcome to use the utility room in the basement where you will find detergents at your disposal.
Every room offers ample space to hang and store clothes as well as other personal items. Great care has been taken while decorating the rooms to give them warmth and make you feel at home.
A great amount of passion and effort has gone into bringing out the former beauty of Villa Orsi. Countless hours were spent scraping old colour from the ceilings and unveiling skilfully composed ornaments and frescoes from 1905.
The family crest, consisting of a golden bear on blue ground surrounded by 12 golden vaults, was carefully introduced into the ornaments found under the roof. The history of the Orsi family goes back as far as 1217.
During cooler days a bioethanol powered fireplace provides a cozy atmosphere and warms up the living room.
A large Sony flatscreen TV offers a large selection of TV stations and is connected to AppleTV. Access your own iTunes account or bring along iTunes vouchers from your home country to watch the latest movies. A Netflix account is available to you free of charge.
The latest Geneva XL sound cube provides access to DAB+ radio stations, FM radio and of course has a CD player. Your own device can easily be linked via Bluetooth.
A beautiful Baecker piano from the founder time was rescued, carefully restored and tuned. It is ready to be played on at your leisure.
Around The Villa
Enjoy the professional Napoleon Barbecue facility on the side of the Villa. Located just off the Portico you can sizzle your favourite meat as well as fish and vegetables.
The device is directly connected to the gas supply and its controls can be illuminated in the evening. A meat thermometer can be found in the kitchen.
Pétanque or rather boccia balls, badminton rackets with proper shuttles, a precious wooden croquet set from New Zealand, the Kubb game or a frisbee disk – you will not get bored at Villa Orsi.
All outdoor games are stored in the Dispensa next to the Portico.
Right by the Villa is the Hapimag watersports center from where you can hire a pedalo, kayak or stand-up-paddle to head out on the beautiful Lake Maggiore.
